Management

We help students to gain depth in their chosen areas of study to achieve academic excellence. Our goal is to empower women through education. We are working towards the dismantling of ignorance and illiteracy. Teaching-Learning is at the core of the institutional ethos. We follow a student-centric approach. Teachers are trained as empowered agents to bring positive social change.

As Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore said, the highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence. I believe in development of core values and environment of teaching-learning atmosphere at the college. Shri Sumer Mahila Mahavidhyalaya is striving to develop intellectually well-informed, culturally accomplished, socially concerned, emotionally balanced and morally upright empowered women. We nurture independent thinkers and creative minds. We create sensitize individuals, who care for the nation and the weaker sections of society and are imbued with human values.

 

*We continuously keep a track of learning outcome of students. We conduct assessment practices to focus on core concepts. The faculty of our college work towards interactive teaching with reduced dependency on textbook learning.

Late Sh. Mathuradas Mathur 'Bha' Ji (Former Finance Minister , Govt. Of Rajasthan) laid the foundation of this college in the year 1965 in loving memory of his younger brother Late Sh. Man Mohan Mathur 'Lachoo' Ji after his untimely demise in the age of 40 (1921-1961). Lachoo Ji was a freedom fighter, a front runner of 'Quit India' movement and a strong follower of Gandhian freedom struggle led in the then Marwar state by Loknayak Jai Narain Vyas and Sh. Mathuradas Mathur. After the passing away of Sh. Mathuradas Mathur , Late Sh. N. K. Mathur took the charge of the Institution and took the Institution to a newer heights.

SSS institute aims to develop an equitable and vibrant knowledge society, by providing quality education to all. Our aim is to cultivate learned, creative humans; enlightened spiritually and morally also. We inculcate all five aspects of comprehensive education, physical, practical, aesthetic, moral and intellectual at our institute

 

Vision

We believe in the all-round harmonious development of young minds. We put emphasis on conceptual understanding rather than rote learning and learning only for exams. We recognize and cultivate unique capabilities of students and encourage logical decision making, innovation, critical thinking and creativity for a sustainable career growth.

Lachoo Management Journal is being published by Faculty of Management twice in a year. The College Magazine Surabhi is being published annually. Articles, poems, essays, compilations from students and teachers and reports about the activities held in the session are published in it. A quarterly bulletin, Paras, is also being published regularly by CASA. BiotechAge is being published by Biotechnology students.
